preliminary research office is a team of international designers researching and practicing architecture and urbanism.
yaohua wang : yaohua is a faculty member at the usc school of architecture. he received his master in architecture degree with distinction from harvard university graduate school of design. his final project was awarded the james templeton kelley thesis prize for best graduating project. he also holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from southern california institute of architecture (sci-arc), where he was awarded the best thesis award.
his works have been exhibited in international venues including, among others, venice biennale, beijing biennial, a + d museum, and creative artist agency.
chloe natanél brunner: chloe received her master in architecture degree with distinction from harvard university graduate school of design. her final project was awarded the james templeton kelley thesis prize for best graduating project. chloe received her bachelor of architecture degree with distinction from southern california institute of architecture (sci-arc), where she was awarded a merit thesis award.
she has exhibited work at a+d architecture and design museum and el nopal press, and has had work published and exhibited by the harvard university graduate school of design.
dingliang yang: dingliang is currently a teaching associate and doctor of design candidate at harvard university graduate school of design, where he received his master of architecture in urban design degree with distinction. his final master’s project was awarded the harvard gsd urban planning and design thesis prize for best graduating project. dingliang also holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture with highest honors, and is a chu kochen medal recipient, from zhejiang university in china. he has acted as a final review critic at harvard gsd and ucla.
